Getting to Shillong
✈️ By Flight
The closest airport is Shillong Airport (Umroi), which has direct flights from Kolkata. Alternatively, fly into Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati) which is well-connected to all major Indian cities.
🚕 By Road / Taxi
From Guwahati airport, take a shared or private taxi to Shillong (approx 3 hours). The festival is located at the New Shillong Highland Ground, Mawkhanu.
🚂 By Train
The nearest major railway station is Guwahati Station. From there, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Shillong.

Festival Rules
- Eco-Friendly: Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival is a plastic-free zone. Please carry reusable water bottles.
- Wristbands: Must be worn at all times. Tampered wristbands will be confiscated.
- Prohibited Items: No outside food, alcohol, weapons, or illegal substances allowed inside the venue.
- Weather: It gets cold at night. Carry warm clothes.
What to Pack
- Warm Clothing: Shillong can get quite cold in November, especially after sunset. Bring jackets and sweaters.
- Comfortable Shoes: For walking around the festival grounds.
- Power Bank: To keep your phone charged for all the photos!
